Seamer and Irton War Memorial Hall is a Registered Charity (No. 515010), with its own Management Committee of voluntary Trustees and booking arrangements. Seamer Parish Council is the Custodian Trustee and provides one of the Management Trustees.

The Memorial Hall was built by public subscription after the First World War to commemorate those from Seamer and Irton who had died, and is for the use of all those who now live in Seamer, Irton and Crossgates. The Memorial Hall is equipped with full central heating.

The  Memorial Hall is open for bookings seven days a week and has the below programme of regular activities.

Any of the activity groups would welcome you, or if you wish to form a new Group Activity, we would be pleased to accommodate you.

The Memorial Hall is suitable for Meetings, Private Parties, Coffee Mornings, Table Top Sales, Seminars, Further Education Classes, Exhibitions, Shows, Family Celebrations etc.

Rooms

The Main Hall, Tom Young Room, Kitchen and a Toilet situated off the Main Hall are accessible for disabled people, including wheelchair users, for whom access is via the right hand side passage and permanent rear ramp entrance to the Tom Young Room with safety lighting:

  • (Large) Main Hall - 50’ x 20’ - seating available for 70 - includes toilet facilities for disabled people including wheelchair users.
  • Tom Young Room - 31’ x 14’ - has its own toilet facility and separate access from the Main Street via the right hand side passage and permanent rear ramp entrance with safety lighting.
  • (Modern) Kitchen - available for use with any of the above rooms on request.
