The Council maintains children's playgrounds:

The Council is grateful to the volunteer members of the Friends of Seamer Village for their grounds maintenance of The Green, always keeping it looking great!

Outdoor Gyms

The Council has installed new outdoor gym equipment:

  • between Crab Lane, Long Lane and Magpie Garth, Crossgates

The Council is grateful to Scarborough Borough Council for granting a licence for the installation of the equipment on its land in Crossgates, and for Locality budget grants from Borough Councillors H Mallory and R Murphy, together covering one third of the cost at this site.

The Council is also grateful to North Yorkshire County Council for a Locality Budget Grant from County Councillor H Phillips, contributing to the groundworks for the outdoor gym at Seamer and signage to be installed at both sites. 

Please remember the following to keep your family/community safe:

  • Judge the risk of COVID-19 to you and your family before entering the play area or using the outdoor gym.
  • Wash or sanitise your hands before and after using the play area or outdoor gym, and try not to touch your face while 'playing'.
  • If you or anyone in your family are showing symptoms of COVID-19, please do not enter the play area or use the outdoor gym.
